1. Will the next great Longhorn quarterback please stand up?

Let’s start with the obvious.

All fans really want to see this weekend is improvement from the quarterbacks and whether or not Tyrone Swoopes or Jerrod Heard is capable of leading this team in the fall.

Early reports indicated that Swoopes was so far ahead that it was barely even a competition. However, in the last few weeks, Heard has shown huge signs of improvement.

The question is, will it be enough to overtake Swoopes?

It will be interesting to see how each of them responds in a game-like setting. Will Swoopes be able to put the failures of last season behind him and start fresh? Will Heard shine in a real-life game situation?

The answer to these questions will likely determine the state of mental health among the Longhorn fan base over the next few months.
