Marcus Johnson, senior wide receiver

Johnson had a quiet 2014 campaign after breaking out somewhat in 2013 – that catch in the Oklahoma game put him on the map.

The senior wideout followed up his 2013 season with a dud. He had just 27 grabs for 313 yards. Jaxon Shipley and John Harris stole the spotlight last year, namely Harris with his breakout season.

This year Johnson is the elder statesman amongst a wide receiving group that will rely on youngsters like Armanti Foreman, Lorenzo Joe and possibly true freshmen John Burt and Deandre McNeal. Johnson will need to be the anchor for this group and become the security blanket that Harris was for Tyrone Swoopes.
