Davis will have a shot at replacing Cedric Reed at defensive end. He made four starts last year, but didn’t have a big impact.

Davis had 3.5 sacks, a number he will need to improve upon to keep Caleb Bluiett or Bryce Cottrell from overtaking him on the depth chart. Davis was a track star in high school so he needs to use his speed to get around the tackles and tight ends and get to the quarterback. Vance Bedford would love for teams to have to double team Davis or Naashon Hughes. This would open the door for the other to get into the backfield.
