If Texas is going to do anything on offense, it will start with the offensive line. Poor play in 2014 resulted in no running lanes for the running backs and little time for Swoopes to get settled in the pocket.

Flowers came to Texas as the sixth-best lineman in his class. He was a prep All-American at Houston North Shore. He is a talented player. Last year he was good, but not great. It’s time for that talent to translate onto the field. Strong wants to run the ball this year to take pressure off of the quarterbacks. Nothing would make him happier than to be able to run the ball behind Flowers. Time for the big man to step up his game.
