Doyle replaced Jake Raulerson who replaced Dominic Espinosa when Espinosa went down with a season-ending ankle injury. The line was getting no push with Raulerson, so Joe Wickline moved Doyle from tackle to center. The line showed improvement at times, but it was still inconsistent for the most part.

Now Doyle has had an offseason to adjust to play the position. If he can team up with Flowers to create some running lanes the Texas offense will flourish. The offense needs Doyle to be mean and nasty in the trenches and win the line of scrimmage. The success of the offense hinges on this.
