Williams had a tough introduction to college football last week. The freshman had the difficult job of protecting the quarterback’s blind side. That’s a tough job by itself, but add in the fact he was going up against a powerful Irish defense, and that made the task even more challenging.

We all saw Williams on the receiving end of a pancake block. My guess is we won’t see this happen today. Expect Williams to come out ready to redeem himself and keep the pressure of off Tyrone Swoopes and Jerrod Heard.

Texas will want to establish the run so Williams will need to help open up some holes for the running backs. Now that he has gotten his feet wet I expect him to continue to improve each week.
