Bryce Treggs and Kenny Lawler, Wide Receiver
Treggs is just one of a trio of receivers Texas will need to worry about. He brings the most experience with 157 receptions in his career. He already has seven grabs this season in a balanced Bears attack. He is tall at 6-foot-1, and he will draw either John Bonney or Antwuan Davis – both making just their third starts. Treggs is a good test for the Longhorns secondary because of his game experience.
Expect to see freshmen Holton Hill, Kris Boyd and Davante Davis on the field as well. The youngsters will have their hands full with this group of receivers. They will probably see every kind of wide receiver move known to man. We will also see how much better the secondary is against this group of receivers after getting torched by Notre Dame’s receivers, namely Will Fuller.
Aside from Treggs, Texas will have to contend with Kenny Lawler – who already has three touchdown grabs – and Trevor Davis, who with his four receptions is averaging 42.5 yards per catch.
Next: Daniel Lasco, Running Back
