With Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season in the books, here’s a look at former Texas Longhorns players who stood out over the weekend.
The 2015 NFL season kicked off this past weekend and of the 47 former Texas Longhorns who started the preseason with an NFL team, 27 made it onto the final rosters, while two were placed on injured reserve, and seven signed with practice squads.
We’re only one week into the season, but former Longhorns, like Jamaal Charles and Alex Okafor, have already made a big impact for their respective teams. Although Texas doesn’t have a starting quarterback in the NFL, former Texas standout Colt McCoy did move up the depth chart this past week and is listed as the Redskins No. 2 quarterback, ahead of Robert Griffin III.
While there are 27 former Longhorns to choose from, here are five who stood out during Week 1 of the NFL.
