The Horned Frogs like to throw the ball a lot, but Patterson doesn’t forget about the weapon he has at running back in Green.

After a quiet start to the season Green has been on a tear the last two games. He rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns in a win over SMU. He followed that up with 162 yards and two scores against Texas Tech.

The Texas defense improved dramatically against the run in the Oklahoma State game. Green is a better runner than anyone the Cowboys threw at Texas. He is built similarly to Jonathan Gray, but clearly has had more success this year than Gray.We will see if the defense has really improved that much against the run, or was a one-game mirage.
