Wide Receivers – Damion Miller and Jordan Pouncey

Texas needed to make a splash on National Signing Day. Tom Herman finally landed a big-time recruit on Wednesday in the form of Jordan Pouncey.

Pouncey is a Florida kid who should fit it nicely with veteran WR John Burt. Pouncey has tremendous upside based on his ball skills and running ability. He should be a big factor as a slot receiver and potential kick/punt returner when he earns playing time.

Damion Miller is also a very good WR recruit for Texas. Miller was highly regarded in the ESPN Top 300 recruits. He was Texas’ #4 highest-ranked recruit in 2017 behind Ehlinger, Carter, and DE Ta’qon Graham.

Miller has similar size and speed as Jordan Pouncey, which could turn into a lethal combination on either side of the ball in future years. It will be exciting to see how both WR prospects in the 2017 class develop under Tom Herman.
