(5) Utah Utes. We’re going to stay in the Pac-12 for the Utah Utes. Texas just does not have a lot of history in the Mountain Timezone, other than playing Colorado when the Buffaloes were in the Big 12 conference.

And, Texas has only played Utah one time – a victory in Austin to start the Longhorns’ 1982 season. It was an interesting piece of timing, as Utah had already played two games before coming to Austin to face the Longhorns on September 18, 1982. Texas still won by the score of 21-12.

The two teams did not meet before 1982 and have not met since then. We think it would be interesting to see the Utes return to Austin and for Texas to visit a power team in Utah besides BYU. Because we know how that went when the Longhorns and Cougars recently met.
