Shaq Cleare was dominant in the first half of Saturday’s regular season finale against Baylor. But, like Jarrett Allen, he virtually disappeared in the second half. Then, he fouled out of the game (on a bogus call) to end his senior season with the Longhorns.

Texas needs Shaq to be dominant this entire week. Whether it’s rebounding, blocking shots, or scoring inside with his baby hook, Shaq has to be assertive and get Texas going offensively in the Big 12 Tournament.

The guards have oftentimes let him down this season by not feeding the post when the opportunity is there, so now is the time to start demanding the ball. There’s no time to worry about feelings. This is about surviving to play another game. Texas needs Shaq to bring that mindset to Kansas City and be epic this week.
