Like Shaq Cleare, Wednesday’s game will be Kendal Yancy’s last game in a Texas uniform unless the Horns pull off the 7-10 upset against Texas Tech in the Big 12 Tournament.

Yancy recently asserted himself as a court general while the freshmen and sophomores have struggled. But, his shooting is not consistent and he’s missed some key shots at critical points in recent games.

Texas needs Yancy to start making those shots, get to loose balls, and continue playing tough defense on the other team’s best scorer. In other words, epic hustle from the senior guard.

Yancy’s contributions to this year’s Texas team needs to increase dramatically. That starts Wednesday against Tech, otherwise it will also be his last game as a Longhorn.
