(5) Develop An Identity

Matt Coleman will give instant leadership when he arrives in Austin. And, hopefully Texas will develop an identity through his court presence.

The Longhorns simply did not have an identity on offense or defense this year. And, the coaching staff spent so much time trying to make the pieces fit together, not knowing which players were ready to go on a given night.

If Jarrett Allen returns, then Texas instantly has their identity with Allen and Coleman. It would be a lethal combination of a great ballhandler driving, shooting, and setting up perimeter shots, and a great post presence finishing at the rim and spreading out defenses.

Plus, the supporting cast of Andrew Jones, Kerwin Roach, Eric Davis, and Jacob Young will finally be able to settle into comfortable roles. Throw in a few superb freshmen and Texas should have its identity next season.
