(5) Texas Spring Game Surprise: Lil’ Jordan Humphries and Reggie Hemphill-Mapps

Shane Buechele and Sam Ehlinger combined to throw 70 passes during the Spring Game. So, there were plenty of opportunities for Wide Receivers to stand out from a crowded group of players.

Collin Johnson clearly separated himself as the #1 WR. And, relatively unknown players Lil’ Jordan Humphries and Reggie Hemphill-Mapps put themselves on the map with solid games on Saturday.

Lil’ Jordan is a sophomore out of Southlake Carroll who caught Sam Ehlinger’s lone TD pass of the game. Humphries made that excellent catch in double coverage and had other big catches in traffic.

Meanwhile, Reggie Hemphill-Mapps recovered from an early drop to make a great catch on a Shane Buechele pass in the first half.
