(4) Move to Big 10

The last two possibilities on our list are intriguing because they’ve never really been talked about before.

Texas moving to the Big 10 would be even more geographically challenging than the Pac-12.

But, the Big 10 style of football and other sports seem to be the best match for Texas.

The Longhorns have tried to keep up with the wide-open style of offenses in the Big 12, but it’s not really in their DNA to play 55-50 football games.

Texas is hard-nosed, physical football with a long history of bruising RBs and linemen. That sounds like Big 10 Football.

Plus, you would have annual matchups with legacy schools like Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State.

Right now, Texas fans will settle for upcoming home-and-home games against Michigan and the Buckeyes. But, what if those were conference games?

Overall, travel would be ridiculous, but the games would be intriguing. Well, Nebraska might not like the idea after leaving the Big 12 when they got tired of battling Texas for control of the conference.
