Over the last few years, Texas Football has not produced NFL Draft picks like Longhorns fans are accustomed to. But, that should change with the 2018 NFL Draft.

New Texas head coach Tom Herman earned the respect of NFL scouts and decision-makers for the players he helped develop as an assistant at Ohio State and head coach at the University of Houston.

Now, it’s time to see that pay off for the Longhorns in the 2018 NFL Draft.

To start with, Texas has a good senior class for the upcoming 2017 college football season. We found five players who should be Draft picks with a stellar senior season and if Texas Football rebounds under Herman.

The real gold mine, though, is the junior class of Charlie Strong recruits. We might see some juniors leave early for the NFL Draft. But, we don’t want to put the cart before the horse on those players.

So, these are the Top 5 candidates from the senior class who should hear their name called in April 2018.
