One of the hottest commodities on the grad transfer market this off-season is a player suspended by his former program. The former Notre Dame Fighting Irish wide receiver and special teams threat C.J. Sanders was suspended before the eventual Citrus Bowl victory over the LSU Tigers.

However, if one other program can get Sanders back on the right track off the field, he’ll be a fantastic pickup. He’s a very agile receiver that can be a threat both in the screen game and running short and intermediate routes. Sanders’ former head football coach Brian Kelly felt it best to part ways with him in South Bend, though.

With experience facing Texas, it could be an attractive destination for Sanders. When the Horns took down the Fighting Irish in a classic season opener back in 2016, Sanders racked up more than 50 receiving yards and one key touchdown for Notre Dame.

Wide receiver is one of the deepest position groups on both sides of the ball for Texas, but they don’t quite have a weapon at the skill positions like Sanders. As a former highly-touted four-star recruit, Sanders should still be hotly pursued during the off-season to land his services.
