The 2009 Fiesta Bowl might be the best postseason result that Texas had since the 2006 Rose Bowl win to claim the National Title. Two of the best games the Horns played in the past 15 years also involved a meeting with Ohio State. It makes for a clash of some real blue bloods around the country.

Texas got some disrespect by way of the BCS computer system in selecting the two players for the 2009 BCS National Championship Game. However, Texas had the poor fortune of falling short to the Sooners, who faced the Florida Gators in that title game, before Bob Stoops got ran over by former UF quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow.

Colt McCoy was key to the Horns winning over Ohio State here, with three total touchdowns. His most clutch time in this matchup came in the second half where all tthree of his touchdowns were scored. Wide receiver Quan Cosby came up big too with two touchdown receptions.

Texas needed a game-winning drive from McCoy to get the win. Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor led what looked to be the possible game-winning touchdown with around two minutes left in the fourth quarter. But, one of those two touchdown passes for Cosby came with just 16 seconds remaining to ultimately give Texas the three-point victory over the Buckeyes.
