The two victories that the Horns claimed during the 2015 campaign over the Sooners and Baylor were two of the most mysterious wins for any major program during that entire college football regular season. OU fell victim to Texas for its only regular season loss in 2015.

This was the 2017 Heisman winning quarterback Baker Mayfield’s first year starting for the Sooners, and he led them to the College Football Playoff that season. However, a five win Texas squad nearly dethroned OU from taking home to Norman both the right to play in the Playoff and a Big 12 Championship, won over the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Tyrone Swoopes had another game where he did just what was needed for the Horns to win. He had one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown, powering the Horns to a huge first quarter that spurred them on to take home the victory to Austin.

Yet, Jerrod Heard was the newfound quarterback solution at the time following his huge performance in a heartbreaking loss to the Cal Golden Bears. He also had a key touchdown that powered Texas past the Sooners here.
