One of the lower rated of the recruits among all targets for the Horns for the 2019 class is an underrated three-star shooting guard in Jordan Turner. He’s got solid size for a small forward, but would need some development at the next level. Turner’s got range and the ability to penetrate through perimeter defense to hit mid-range shots.

However, his physical tools don’t give him too much of an advantage over some of the best defensive small forwards in the Big 12. At 6-foot-6, Turner is about your average size for a top tier small forward at the college level, and much smaller than usual in the NBA at that position.

At this moment, there is no clear favorite emerging for Turner, but staying in Big 12 country with Texas would be a great option for him to turn to. He’s garnered four offers so far, but has some looks from some solid basketball programs. Texas has a lot to compete with if it wants to land Turner in the end.

The Texas A&M Aggies, Florida Gators, Baylor Bears, SMU Mustangs, and Horns are all vying for the interest of Turner. Texas would be a good fit for Turner due to the athleticism that is normally present on the roster. Turner’s skill set would allow for some open looks for easier knock down shots.
