Fall camp is starting to approach us, so Texas football is on the cusp of having a more official depth chart in place soon that could look similar to this.

The roster for Texas football leading up to fall camp for the 2018 campaign looks pretty good following a top notch recruiting class coming in from the past cycle. Since the Longhorns will be deep at nearly every position on both sides of the ball, the depth chart will be a key thing to watch for entering the fall.

The top of the depth char on both sides of the ball will make the most difference in the second full year under head Texas football coach Tom Herman. He needs standouts to emerge in position groups like offensive line, running back, defensive backfield, and quarterback especially.

Last season, the Horns emerged with seven wins. And, Texas looks to move that forward for the upcoming regular season with a very talented roster to boot. Each victory that Texas picks up past the seven-win mark this year is considered more and more of a success.

It’s been a while since the Horns were considered a national contender. The fan base needs some hope that this blue blood program is bound to get back to that point of contention here soon. A deep pool of talent for the year can help bring some hope this season.

A lot still has to play out through summer workouts and fall camp before Herman decides the top of the depth chart for 2018. We’re accounting for events that could happen from now until then too.

Here’s a look at the projected two-deep depth chart for the Texas Longhorns for the 2018 campaign.
