Power Forward. 2. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 29. Years with Texas: 2004-2006. LaMarcus Aldridge

The San Antonio Spurs could be without their superstar soon in Kawhi Leonard thanks to some inconsistencies between him and the team near the end of the season. That fault doesn’t appear to be on the Spurs too much since Kawhi didn’t mesh with Gregg Popovich too well.

However, this likely departure of Leonard leaves the former Portland Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge as the star of the team. Aldridge has the ability to carry an entire team on his back when his game is on. He has gone through some longer rough stretches for the past two seasons, but he always seems to respond quickly thereafter.

This six time NBA All-Star and five time All-NBA Team honoree is one of the most consistent and underrated players over the past decade too. Aldridge was once a member of a 2006-07 NBA All-Rookie Team. Since then, he’s blossomed into one of the toughest forwards to guard and one of the best mid-range shooters in the NBA.

Over the course of his NBA career, Aldridge averages nearly 20 points per game. And, he eclipsed that mark last season by averaging more than 23 points per game. He also shot better than 50 percent from the field and averaged 8.5 rebounds per game. It certainly appears that Aldridge will be fine without the presence of Leonard in San Antonio by all indications.
