This is another longshot for Texas, but five-star athlete from Charlotte, NC, Quavaris Crouch is about as versatile and athletic as any high school prospect comes nowadays. Crouch is extremely fast and a brutally tough runner. He fits in as both a running back and outside linebacker currently, and could fit into both positions at the next level.

Texas is just one of more than 20 offers that Crouch currently holds. But, the need for an instant impact running back could draw some more interest from Crouch toward Austin. Early playing time is something mentioned a lot here because it can be so important to some of the best prospects in each class now.

Crouch seems to be learning more toward some of the local programs to him including Clemson, Tennessee, and the South Carolina Gamecocks. If his tendencies change to wanting something across the nation, Texas is also a prime spot for him to ultimately land.

The Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles, and Georgia could also end up with Crouch listing them as one of his final choices for his college career. The raw physical tools that Crouch has ranks him as the No. 1 ranked athlete, North Carolina prospect, and 14th best overall prospect in the nation. Texas would be lucky to have him.
