A common theme among all the defensive backs on this list is the trend of at least being a one time All-American honoree. This long-time Texas cornerback was not only dominant, but also a First-Team All-American on one occasion. Although, half his career came before the turn of the century.

His best years came during the 2000 and 2001 seasons. He doesn’t have more interceptions than Vasher, or even close to that number. But, his seven total interceptions over three years in his college career highlights his level of consistency. Vasher was more of a playmaking corner while Jammer was a lockdown defensive back that opposing quarterbacks would regularly look away from.

The pure presence of Jammer on the field was enough to drastically help out the entirety of the Texas defense. His solid showings throughout three years of holding a huge role in the Texas secondary earned him a top five selection in the 2002 NFL Draft.

The former Texas and San Diego Chargers cornerback Quentin Jammer had a successful career at both the college and NFL levels. Jammer was extremely versatile for the Horns and his game translate immediately to the next level. He had more than 150 career total tackles and more than 55 pass breakups for the corner spot.
