Never doubt the ability of TCU head coach Gary Patterson to turn nothing into something and turn good into great on any given year. Patterson took a Horned Frogs squad that numerous pundits had questions about last year and went all the way to the 2017 Big 12 Championship Game.

The three losses for the Horned Frogs last season came against Iowa State and against Oklahoma twice. TCU also should have some momentum going entering the 2018 campaign with the instant classic postseason victory in the Alamo Bowl over All-American running back Bryce Love and the Stanford Cardinal.

Once again, TCU is widely considered a top 25 team that should have a very solid defense in 2018. If the Texas offense fares better this time around against the vaunted TCU defense than it did last year, the 2018 meeting could turn into a defensive battle. TCU and Texas both have more question marks on the offensive side of the ball than on defense this year.

Watch out for TCU stars like junior running back Darius Anderson, sophomore wide receiver Jalen Reagor, and redshirt senior defensive end Ben Banogu. Even though TCU has questions at quarterback with sophomore Shawn Robinson the likely starter, the rest of the roster is pretty talented.
