2. 1,000 receiving yards for Collin Johnson or Lil’Jordan Humphrey

Texas has one of its best and deepest receiving corps in recent memory, entering the 2018 season. The pair of standout junior wide receivers in Lil’Jordan Humphrey and Collin Johnson should be able to shoulder most of the load in the passing game. There’s a few other quality receivers that will add a ton of depth at this position too.

Johnson is a legit threat to catch any ball, no matter how good it might be, that is thrown is way. He is an outside target that any team would love to have in its passing game. Last season, Johnson set a career high in receiving yards as he posted more than 750. The touchdown numbers should see a spike this year for Johnson as he only reeled in two for the 2017 season.

Moreover, Humphrey is a threat all over the field and is a true versatile weapon for the Horns to use in multiple different situations. Whatever method necessary to get Humphrey the ball in open space should be done to the benefit of this offense getting in rhythm this year. His ability to make defenders miss in the open field should help Humphrey reach that next level in his development.

Junior Devin Duvernay, senior Jerrod Heard, freshman Brennan Eagles, and freshman D’shawn Jamison are a few other names to watch in the receiving corps after the release of the full official depth chart. However, no other wide receivers for the Horns have as good of chance to reach the 1,000-receiving yard mark this season than Johnson and/or Humphrey.
