The biggest remaining game on the slate looks to be an opponent that is trending down but is still going to be extremely dangerous.

The good news for the Horns here again is the ability to play up and down to competition. Although West Virginia comes at a time when Texas football is unlikely to meet up with any other top 25 opponent for the rest of the regular season, Texas should be prepared to claim a big victory to start off the month of November.

Senior star West Virginia quarterback Will Grier has a cast of wide receivers surrounding him that are nothing shy of electric. Senior wide receivers Gary Jennings and David Sills V are posted big seasons for their final year in Morgantown. So far, Grier has 22 touchdown passes and seven interceptions on the season.

The loss to Iowa State put Grier pretty far behind in the Heisman race, but he’ll be looking for a chance to recover down the stretch. West Virginia winning out would easily put them back in the top 10 and have a slight shot at making a run toward the College Football Playoff. West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Texas are all in the same boat in that regard.
