With the chances at the dream scenario for Texas football this year out of the bye week gone, what else went wrong for this team so far?

Everything came crashing down for the Texas football program for what could’ve been a dream 2018 campaign with the Week 9 loss to the Oklahoma State Cowboys. In a game where the Texas Longhorns over-matched the Pokes by a good margin on both sides of the ball, a number of issues coming out of the bye week plagued this team.

The loss to Oklahoma State seems to also be creating quite the firestorm on social media, which takes things from bad to worse for this Texas football locker room. This all resulted from the most detrimental loss of the season so far, which was something the Horns could ill-afford with one defeat already.

Despite the loss to Oklahoma State, Texas football is still exceeding expectations from the preseason. For the initial AP Poll release, the Horns were ranked at No. 23 in the nation. Even after the loss now, Texas still rings in at No. 15 in the AP Poll. Both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll have Texas ranked higher than each did during the preseason.

Yet, the Horns still have little room for error moving forward and should reflect on what went wrong already this fall to avoid any shortcomings for the rest of the regular season. Looking back at the bad parts of the season for improvement across the board is not necessarily a bad thing.

Here’s a look at the 10 things that went wrong for the now ranked No. 15 Texas Longhorns so far during the 2018 season.
