Texas Football: A look back at this year’s senior class

Transfers

Jarmarquis Durst, DB: Durst transferred from Tarleton State in 2016. He has played in 11 career games on special teams. He has appeared in nine games this season.

Gary Johnson, LB: Johnson is in his second year with the Horns after transferring from Dodge City Community College in the spring of 2017. He has played in 23 career games making 17 starts. Johnson has played the rover position for Todd Orlando’s defense and was named preseason All-Big 12 in 2018.

Johnson has 124 career tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, two pass deflections, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. In his two seasons in burnt orange and white, Johnson has been an emotional leader for Texas football.

Chase Moore, DB: Moore is in his second year in the program after transferring from Holy Cross. He has yet to appear in a game for Texas. This year, Moore became the 10th Longhorn ever named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.

Joshua Rowland, K: The second year transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College was Texas’ starting kicker in 2017. He hit 11-of-18 field goal attempts and all 38 extra point attempts, including a long of 49 yards. Rowland had a 49 percent touchback rate in 2017. He was beat out in the preseason by freshman Cameron Dicker.
