Texas Football: A look back at this year’s senior class

Four-year players
Kris Boyd, DB: Boyd has played in 47 games and has made 29 starts in his four years at Texas football. He has started 29 of the last 31 games for Texas. In 2018, Boyd was named preseason All-Big 12 and a Jim Thorpe Award finalist.
In his career, Boyd has 153 tackles, 32 defended passes, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, and one sack. He has been consistently matched up against teams number one wide receivers this season. The program will miss Boyd.
Davante Davis, DB: The fourth year cornerback has played in 44 career games and started 22 of them. He came on the scene with five starts as a freshman, earning honorable mention All-Big 12. Davis has 103 career tackles, 16 pass deflections, four interceptions, and three forced fumbles. He has gotten consistent playing time all four years and is this years second best cornerback.
Breckyn Hager, DL: Captain Breckyn Hager is the heart and soul of this team. He has played in 44 career games with 18 starts. He was named Big 12 second team in 2016 and All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2017. For his career, Hager has 131 tackles, 29 tackles for a loss. He also has 11.5 sacks, seven pass deflections, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and one interception.
P.J. Locke III, DB: Locke III has played in 43 career games and started in 27 of them. He has typically played in the nickel spot. He was a team captain in 2017. Locke has a career 143 tackles, 11 pass deflections, 10 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, two interceptions, 1.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. In his senior season Locke has recorded 60 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and two pass deflections.
