The addition of three talented 2019 prospects from Texas basketball recruiting should only help the team in its quest to win the Big 12 in 2019-20.

The 2019 Texas basketball recruiting class started rounding out before the Early Signing Period earlier this month. Texas basketball recruiting landed three signees for the 2019 class that now fits among the top 15 in the nation. After the latest commitment, Texas Basketball recruiting held a top eight class in the nation once again. A quiet period that followed pushed Texas out of the top 10 of late.

The headliner of this 2019 Texas basketball recruiting class is five-star hometown center Will Baker. He was the latest commit among the three signees in this class. Baker is also the only five-star prospect signed thus far. That doesn’t mean that this class won’t get another five-star signee when it’s all said and done.

Head coach Shaka Smart has the chance to take this class to the next level compared to what he landed for the past cycle. Texas basketball recruiting landed the eighth ranked class in the nation for 2018, and has the opportunity to get into the top five for this cycle. The hopes to nab a top five 2019 class in the nation rests with the decision of one highly touted high school prospect.

The one commitment that Texas basketball recruiting could land that would send this class ranking through the roof is five star big man Jaden McDaniels. The decision for McDaniels looks to be coming down to Texas and the San Diego State Aztecs.

Here’s a look at the ranking of the three 2019 signees for the Texas Longhorns by the ability to make an instant impact.
