We’re less than two weeks away from the beginning of the Early Signing Period which means its crunch time for Texas football recruiting.

The 2019 Texas football recruiting class shaped together really nicely of late. The most recent wins for Texas football recruiting for the highly touted 2019 class was three-star strong-side defensive end Myron Warren and three-star JUCO lineman Jacoby Jones. Texas football recruiting pried Warren out of the grips of the in-State conference foe TCU Horned Frogs.

Head coach Tom Herman is following up his third ranked 2018 Texas football recruiting class in the nation with another highly ranked group. Herman has the sixth ranked 2019 class in the nation with 21 commits.

Texas has a little less than one month to pull in another commit or two before the Early Signing Period. It has another spot to add to in the 2019 Texas football recruiting class now since the decommitment of four-star Oklahoma City, OK, wide receiver Demaryion Houston. As the first decommitment of the 2019 Texas football recruiting class, Houston bumped the program down one spot in the national composite rankings.

Texas football recruiting has the opportunity to lock up another top five class in the nation for the second straight cycle. It needs to close out well to round out the 2019 class, but it is just one spot away in the national rankings. The Early Signing Period is drawing very close, so it gives the Horns a handful of days to land a few more 2019 prospects before the commencement on Dec. 19.

Here’s a look at the five 2019 prospects that the Texas Longhorns should still target on the recruiting trail before the Early Signing Period comes around.
