4. Where does Bru McCoy land?

Sanders is a huge target for the 2019 Texas football recruiting class, but there’s another highly-touted five-star high school prospect to key in on. Five-star Santa Ana, CA, athlete Bru McCoy could wind up committed to the 2019 Texas football recruiting class if he decides to look past the in-state favorite USC Trojans.

Moreover, the No. 7 rated 2019 high school prospect in the nation has a good shot at taking his talents to the Forty Acres. McCoy is the most ideal prospect for the Horns to land to add during this recruiting cycle. He will fit in at either wide receiver or linebacker, more than likely, whether he chooses to commit to USC or Texas.

The issue for this question, as it pertains to the Early Signing Period, is that McCoy isn’t set to announce his pledge until after the turn of the calendar year. It would be nice to see the Horns pull someone as highly touted as McCoy during, or before, the Early Signing Period since he would be the first five-star commit in this class.

According to the 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions, McCoy has a 12 percent chance to land with the 2019 Texas football recruiting class and an 85 percent chance to land with the Trojans. He still has a while to go until he announces his decision. Recent official visits with PAC-12 programs like the UCLA Bruins, Washington Huskies, and USC could also play a role in his final decision.
