Most of the action that is going to transpire for the 2019 Texas football recruiting class wrapped up on the first day of the Early Signing Period. Four-star Houston, TX, offensive tackle Javonne Shepherd was left as the only commit to not sign his National Letter of Intent on the Early Signing Day.

Teams that are going through massive changes to the coaching staff or preparing for a mid-to-late December bowl game tend to have the worst timing set to have a successful Early Signing Period.
Not only do fans of the Texas Longhorns get to see which signees will be enrolling early from this class, there were some big commitment decisions that came through on the first day of the Early Signing Period.
