Most of the roster turnover on the offensive side of the ball for the Horns comes along the offensive line and in the receiving corps. And, the losses in the receiving corps largely hinges on the 2019 NFL Draft decisions from junior wide receivers Collin Johnson and Lil’Jordan Humphrey. Texas is also set to lose a key piece at tight end, senior Andrew Beck.

The skill position roster turnover for this team is mostly going to get mitigated by the successful haul for the 2019 Texas football recruiting class. Some of the skill position signees from this class are soon going to be on the Forty Acres too. Tight end and wide receiver both have at least on early enrollee set from this class.

However, it would be nice to see four-star tight end Brayden Liebrock as an early enrollee with the type of potential he could have in this offense under head coach Tom Herman. Liebrock is going to be a much more natural fit at tight end in the passing game than either Beck or sophomore Cade Brewer. But, we have to wait until summer workouts and fall camp to get the first sights of Liebrock.

The Early enrollee from the tight end spot for the Horns is three-star Jared Wiley. Even with Wiley getting that leg up by taking part in spring camp, Liebrock should be set for a bigger role in the passing game next season. Liebrock is surprisingly quick for a tight end, runs very clean routes, and has reliable hands that could help the Texas offense have more weapons to turn to next year.
