Christmas time is upon us, and Texas football fans have one more exciting matchup to follow before the 2018 campaign officially concludes.

The Holiday season is upon us, and fans of the Texas football program have a lot to be thankful for from the 2018 campaign. The Texas football program is not the only part of this athletic department that would love to have a huge finish to its season. Texas basketball needs some luck, but could finish out this regular season in solid fashion.

But, the 2018 campaign is far from over for Texas football since the Allstate Sugar Bowl against the Georgia Bulldogs is the last thing on tap to round out this great season. Georgia also has a lot to be thankful for, but the 2018 campaign had a lot left to be desired. The way the SEC Championship Game fell for the Dawgs was hard to swallow after falling short against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the final few minutes.

Meanwhile, Texas football had a similar fortune to Georgia in its conference title game. Texas football fell short against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Big 12 Championship Game before it had its fate announced against Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. But, the way the postseason turned out for Texas football could be much worse.

Last year, Texas football wound up in the Texas Bowl against the Mizzou Tigers. Landing in a New Year’s Six Bowl like the Sugar Bowl is a great way to mark this second year under head Texas football coach Tom Herman. Although Texas football pulled out that win over Mizzou, the progress shown by making an appearance in the Sugar Bowl is so much better.

Here’s a look at the five things that fans of the Texas Longhorns should wish for the most out of Christmas 2018.
