Where would the best landing spot for Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant be this coming offseason if he decides to leave?

The rumors that will start circling around nearly every NBA team come the turn of the calendar year, and mainly for fans of the Golden State Warriors involves the former Texas Longhorns basketball star forward Kevin Durant. This cycle of NBA Free Agency for the 2019 offseason will put Kevin Durant to the test to see where his intentions lie at this point in his career.

After he departed the Oklahoma City Thunder a few years back to join the Warriors, he was mainly looking for a team where he was given a clear path to winning an NBA Title. Now that he has two of them, his goals and intentions might be different. If he has intentions similar to those of LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers last offseason, there’s any number of destinations he could wind up in.

There were a ton of suitors for LeBron during the 2018 cycle of free agency. Some thought he would end up with the Cleveland Cavaliers again, while the possibilities were endless for him with the number of suitors that were lined up.

However, the pursuit of Durant is going to be different than LeBron’s. Durant won’t bring the same level of hype with him as “The King”. Also, Durant seems to be looking for something different than he did when he first left the Thunder. Per Yahoo Sports and NESN, Kevin Durant revealed that money is going to be his highest priority this offseason.

Here’s a look at the five early potential landing spots for the former Texas Longhorns standout, and Golden State Warriors forward, Kevin Durant in free agency during the 2019 NBA Offseason.
