Texas Football: 5 best landing spots for Shane Buechele
2. Arkansas Razorbacks
It seems like head coach Chad Morris and the Arkansas Razorbacks are exploring every avenue possible to figure out its starting quarterback position. The future at quarterback for Arkansas looks to be former four-star pro-style quarterback recruit Connor Noland, but even that is far from a sure thing.
After what Arkansas experienced in SEC play this year, with a roller coaster season that saw them finish with zero wins in conference play, leads the fans base to believe that Morris will do whatever it takes to right the ship this off-season. Morris needs a steady hand at quarterback that could compliment a powerful ground game.
The Arkansas offense would be a similar scheme to what Buechele ran with Texas football during his true freshman campaign. Former All-American running back D’Onta Foreman was the mainstay of the Texas football offense in 2016, but Buechele’s arm was a nice factor that helped keep the offense balanced.
A quarterback battle will transpire for the Razorbacks between a few quarterbacks if it lands a transfer like Buechele. Among those that competition for the starting job would include are Ty Storey, Noland, and Buechele. Although, Storey’s name was also recently added to the NCAA Transfer Portal. Since Arkansas didn’t land the quarterback it wanted on the transfer market, Kelly Bryant who committed to Mizzou, Buechele would be a huge target.
