This might seem like an unlikely choice for the top spot among the prospects that are the most important for this 2019 Texas football recruiting class to target early. But, four-star North Shore High School and Houston, TX, offensive tackle Damieon George brings a lot to the table along with him if the Horns can nab his commitment.

The often discussed factor that you get by landing George is the potential to get the package deal with Evans. That would be quite the combination for the Texas offense to move forward with to boost the ground game. Aside from that, George has a lot to like in his skill set as a very sizable offensive lineman.

George has a very similar stature to that of 2019 Texas commit Javonne Shepherd. Both hail from the same high school football program too. Each offensive tackle is very overwhelming and has a surprisingly strong motor for their size. At 6-foot-6 and 320 pounds, George is among the largest offensive tackles for this recruiting cycle as Shepherd was to the 2019 cycle.

The amount of draw this Texas football recruting class could have to offensive prospects would be incredible if it is able to haul in George alongside four-star offensive guard Logan Parr. Up until the final day of the 2018 Early Signing Period, the offensive line was very thin in the 2019 Texas football recruiting class. Jumping ahead of the need is vital for the Horns to keep the depth rolling in for offensive line coach and co-offensive coordinator Herb Hand.
