2. Bevy of talented early enrollees

Texas football is getting a handful of its early signees from the 2019 recruiting class enrolling to be on campus for spring camp. Getting a new class of players on campus also brings a new wave of excitement. There’s a new era beginning on the Forty Acres that could also usher in a new period of success on the field.

With the Horns getting an injection of fresh talent on both sides of the ball in spring camp, there could be a new set of names that emerges to make a potential big impact for the 2019 season. Especially at high turnover positions heading into this off-season, there could be some early enrollees that become starters at some during the 2019 campaign.

The list of early enrollees that could compete for a starting job immediately, or at least a significant role, are highlighted by four-star Buford, GA, running back Derrian Brown, four-star Port Neches, TX, dual-threat quarterback Roschon Johnson, and three-star Fullerton College outside linebacker Caleb Johnson. All of the early enrollees from this Texas football recruiting class won’t start immediately, but each will help fill some gaps in spring camp.

You could see the impact that all of the skilled early enrollees brought for the Horns last year during the off-season. The same could happen this off-season, as eight or nine of the early enrollees could get a leg up on the rest of this recruiting class before everyone arrives on campus for summer workouts.
