3. Mississippi State Bulldogs

A candidate for any quality transfer running back with experience at the Power Five level for this coming off-season is the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Former Penn State Nittany Lions offensive coordinator, and Mississippi State second-year head coach Joe Moorhead, is someone that has plenty of experience developing underutilized players like Houston.

With Mississippi State set to lose one of its key running backs from the 2018 team, redshirt senior Aeris Williams, adding a senior rusher to help out with the depth at the position for 2019 could help out. A Mississippi State team that could be left with just four running backs on the roster for the 2019 campaign needs to add some depth soon.

The spot that Moorhead and the Bulldogs would likely be looking to have Houston occupy is one of the backup slots behind rising junior running back Kylin Hill. In 2018, Hill had a breakout campaign with more than 900 total yards from scrimmage and eight touchdowns. He could use someone to take some of the load off his shoulders on the ground, though.

The appeal that Houston would have with Mississippi State is the potential to join a rising head coach and a competitive program in the SEC West that offered him during his recruitment. Mississippi State was one of the seven offers Houston held as a three-star running back prospect during the 2015 recruiting cycle.
