3. Signee makes an outrageous claim for the 2019 season

Whether it be a current signee of the 2019 Texas football recruiting class, or anyone that is added in the coming weeks, this is something that is usually a guarantee to some degree for a blue blood. Potential signees love to make outrageous and bold statements each recruiting cycle that pump up the news cycle heading into the meat of the off-season.

Since not much will happen between National Signing Day and the beginning of spring camp for a lot of these signees, making outrageous claims helps to fill the silent news cycles that can frequent college football off-seasons. Texas has a handful of early enrollees from this 2019 class so they could make some noise before spring camp begins.

It could be a signee for the Horns that recently received a ratings bump, or someone that is getting attention from another school. But, there is plenty of hate that comes the Horns way which gives the road for recruits to trash talk back and forth on social media. This isn’t a very outspoken group of signees for the Horns, which could make a social media exchange intriguing.

Part of this bold prediction is the inclusion of the Sooners in the trash talk back and forth. Oklahoma is likely to be involved to some degree with any statements made on social media for Horns signees. Oklahoma commits like five-star dual-threat quarterback Spencer Rattler gave the “Horns down” hand sign in plenty of social media posts and some Texas signees could clap back soon.
