This is a loaded class of quarterbacks in this year’s Senior Bowl, and there will be a lot to prove for some of them that have higher 2019 NFL Draft projections. A class that includes numerous all-conference honorees and former four and five-star recruits will look to show out with a limited opportunity during the Senior Bowl.

Potentially the most intriguing of the quarterback prospects participating in the Senior Bowl this year is the All-SEC Mizzou Tigers record-breaking signal caller Drew Lock. The arm of Lock makes him a first round prospect, but his athleticism and falling short in some big games during his time with Mizzou brought some question marks heading into this off-season.

There was an unfortunate finish to the 2018 campaign for Lock as his Tigers fell short by such a narrow margin against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Liberty Bowl. But, the numbers Lock posted over the last two seasons are something that NFL scouts can’t ignore. Lock posted 72 passing touchdowns and just 21 interceptions for 2017 and 2018.

NBC Sports ranks Lock as the top quarterback prospect in the 2019 NFL Draft, even ahead of the former Ohio State Buckeyes signal caller Dwayne Haskins. Depending on how he shows out in events like the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine, Lock still has the potential to be a first round pick as one of the first quarterbacks selected.
