One of the wide receivers that will hurt from such a deep 2019 NFL Draft class at the position is the former West Virginia Mountaineers All-American and record breaker David Sills V. The large frame and reliable hands of Sills V will land him in a key spot and a decently large role with some NFL team in need of a productive wide receiver.

However, the biggest question mark remaining for Sills V before the 2019 NFL Draft commences is how he does against better secondaries than he saw in the Big 12. West Virginia’s scheme under former head coach Dana Holgorsen and offensive coordinator Jake Spavital was very pass happy, and he had a standout quarterback with Will Grier.

Within the last month or two, Sills V started to fall down draft boards thanks to an abundance of talented third-year players that declared as early entrants into the 2019 NFL Draft. USA Today’s Draft Wire ranked Sills V as the 18th best wide receiver in this draft class.

The record-breaking and breakthrough 2017 campaign that Sills V had for West Virginia faded off a bit in 2018. But, we’re talking about a small enough decline that he posted just six less receiving yards than he did in 2017, all while racking up 15 receiving touchdowns. Watching the red zone threat that is Sills V will be very interesting in the Senior Bowl.
