There’s so much that is worth following for the offensive linemen in this Senior Bowl, but it’s not the most interesting position group in the world to watch for an event like this for just the casual fan. What is nice to see is a few recognizable offensive tackle prospects out of the Big 12, and there’s one very talented player in particular on the North Team.

The former Kansas State Wildcats All-Big 12 and All-American offensive tackle Dalton Risner is one of the highlights of this draft class at his position. He was also one of the best and most recognizable offensive tackle upperclassmen in the Big 12 this past season.

Risner grades out as a first or second round 2019 NFL Draft prospects by most national pundits. However, some like draftsite.com do have Risner further down draft board as a mid-round prospect that would be a valuable pickup that could still come in for an NFL team in need of linemen and start right away.

According to the Kansas City Star, Risner is off to a solid start for Senior Bowl workouts and combine events. He has the ability to prove himself as a worthy early round selection in the upcoming NFL Draft. The strength, solidified fundamental ability, and versatility he brings is what he needs to show to scouts this week and in the game itself.
