The only underclassmen of this list, and of the former Texas football players up for the 2019 NFL Draft, has a very intriguing case to make for an early round selection. Former Texas junior standout wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey is coming off a high-note with a true breakthrough 2018 season under his belt.

We haven’t learned a whole lot about Humphrey since he declared early for the 2019 NFL Draft. He didn’t get the opportunity to prove himself in any of the showcase games since he’s a third year player. But, the projections for Humphrey now are still promising. Drafttek ranked him as a top 80 prospect in this class and a top 15 wide receiver.

Humphrey decided to take his chips from a 1,000-receiving yard 2018 season where he also racked up one rushing and one passing touchdown, and make his way to the pros. Texas is going to miss him for the 2019 season, but you can’t blame him for wanting to cash in while his 2019 NFL Draft stock was high.

An emerging hurdle for Humphrey in this wide receiver draft class is the depth at the position. The Senior Bowl showed the vast array of wide receiver talent that can fill multiple areas for NFL teams in the passing game. Humphrey likely fell down some draft boards just by default from the Senior Bowl outings from a ton of skilled wideouts.
