The 2020 Texas football recruiting class has a golden opportunity to get the intrigue of a five-star RB, Kendall Milton, next month with a visit to Austin.

The 2019 Texas football recruiting class is set to wrap up in full on Feb. 6, 2019 National Signing Day. With the 2019 Texas football recruiting class less than two weeks from concluding, the 2020 cycle is bound to get an added spotlight soon. The 2020 Texas football recruiting class is already getting a ton of headlines with the “contact period” underway and a huge visitation weekend coming through earlier this month.

And, the 2020 Texas football recruiting class got a big add on Jan. 24 with an underrated and sizable three-star in-state offensive tackle Jake Majors committing to play for head coach Tom Herman. The pledge for Texas football from Majors was the third commitment in this 2020 class and the second from an offensive lineman.

With the building 2020 Texas football recruiting class, this team could be bringing in more skill position talent heading into the longer months of the 2019 off-season. This class has to be pretty appealing to standout 2020 wide receivers and running backs looking for an opportunity to build something special at a blue blood program trending in the right direction.

One prospect that the Texas Longhorns could be gaining some interest with is one of the highest rated 2020 high school prospects in the nation. Five-star Buchanan High School Clovis, CA, running back Kendall Milton is one of the most impactful targets for this 2020 Texas football recruiting class. Milton fits the bill of a skill position recruit that could be impressed by the commits lined up so far for Texas football.

This 6-foot-2 and 210 pound elite rusher has an enormous offer sheet of more than 40 schools. Texas is just one of the more than 25 Power Five offers that Milton has in line too. Some of the other highlights of his offer sheet include the Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU Tigers, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

The opportunity the Horns coaching staff is looking for to gain some traction with Milton is arriving soon. On Jan. 26, Milton announced on his Twitter timeline that he is planning to visit Texas on Feb. 23. That will be one of his first visits of the year.

The visit for Milton to the Forty Acres is the most significant event in his recruiting timeline involving Texas football since he first received an offer from them in April 2018. Since the Horns come into the 2019 off-season with a ton of momentum off a New Year’s Six Bowl victory, this visit comes at a very opportune time.
