2. Anything to add at OL or RB?

The need for the Texas football program this off-season to add to linebacker, offensive line, and running back is looking less and less urgent. The NCAA Transfer Portal gives the Horns an abundance of options to fill those positional needs, and this incoming recruiting class is ranked in the top three in the nation and tops in the Big 12.

The ultimate goal for this 2019 Texas football recruiting class would be landing five-star Flowood, MS, running back Jerrion Ealy or four-star Garden City C.C. offensive tackle Bamidele Olaseni. There’s very few uncommitted running backs and offensive linemen left that were offered by the Horns for this recruiting cycle.

Moreover, the nation’s top JUCO inside linebacker is also keen on the Horns before National Signing Day. That four-star inside linebacker is Dodge City C.C. and Vidalia, GA, product Lakia Henry. On Feb. 2, Henry has an official visit lined up to the Forty Acres which is a great time for that to come.

There isn’t a set decision date yet for Ealy, Olaseni, or Henry, at least that’s known to the public.  But, less than two full weeks before Feb. 6 means that the commitment and signing decisions for those three key prospects has to come soon. Texas has a realistic shot at landing Henry, seems to be pretty deep down on the lists for Ealy and Olaseni.
