It looks like it would take a massive last-minute momentum swing for the Horns to have any say in the commitment decision for the elite five-star Jackson Prep running back Jerrion Ealy. Texas is one of the 14 schools that offered the nation’s No. 29 2019 high school prospect and the third best running back.

This might be the most important commitment announcement during the morning of National Signing Day. Ealy is set to announce his commitment at 11:15 a.m. CT. He’ll likely be deciding between the Clemson Tigers and Ole Miss Rebels. Similar to that of Lee, Ealy’s decision will be broadcast live in front of a national audience on ESPN2.

The 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions still gives national title-winning head coach Dabo Swinney and Clemson the slight edge over the school he originally committed to, Ole Miss. However, Ole Miss seems to be making a late-run to land the commitment of the highly touted 5-foot-11 and 200 pound Ealy back, and actually sign him this time.

Rivals FutureCast actually gives Ole Miss the edge now to land the commitment and signed National Letter of Intent from Ealy. Other programs like the Horns, Mississippi State Bulldogs, Alabama, and Auburn Tigers, could still play a role in the decision from Ealy. But, this is likely a decision that boils down to two potentially surprising candidates between Clemson and Ole Miss.
